Atlanta Jazz Festival w/ Irreversible Entanglements

Join us for an evening of mesmerizing sounds from revered jazz collective Irreversible Entanglements on Saturday, May 23, at 10 pm in Park Tavern.

Formed in early 2015 by saxophonist Keir Neuringer, poet Camae Ayewa (a.k.a. Moor Mother), bassist Luke Stewart, and later trumpeter Aquiles Navarro and drummer Tcheser Holmes, the quintet’s relentless sound heavily leverages each instrumentalists’ deep avant-garde jazz background.

With each tone driven decisively by Ayewa’s searing poetic narrations, Irreversible Entanglements uncommon musical approach is undeniably awe-inspiring. The collective’s music is as adventurous as any of today’s premier avant-garde jazz productions while also enlightening listeners with powerful narratives.
